Recent Colby Kodak Moments

I think Bailey first came up with this idea, but when I caught it happening, it was just Colby during the day while Bailey was at school. Poor kid....he gets so bored sometimes! Anyway, he had unloaded an entire family pack of toilet paper and was trying to stack it all in a single column. This required getting taller. Jonathan finally stopped him when he dragged the bunk bed ladder upstairs to climb the wall with.

A couple days ago Colby got really busy in the office with a sheet of construction paper and some markers. Next thing I knew he was putting his jacket on and heading out the door, saying he had "an email for Dougie." (My brother Doug is on a mission.) I asked him to show me what he was mailing, and it was the same paper, folded in thirds and taped closed. I thought it was so sweet, so I put Doug's address and a stamp on the outside and let him go ahead and mail it, hoping there was nothing wrong with it that would prevent it from actually getting to Florida. Apparently there was, because it was back in our mailbox the next day. Colby wasn't happy when he saw it back on our counter, either. He asked me who brought it back, and I said the postman gave it to us, and he said, "It wasn't for him! It was for Dougie!"
But anyway, here's a picture Jonathan got from our driveway of Colby going down to "send Doug an email."
