Happy Halloween!

Bits and pieces of our Halloween celebrations:
We just had Family Home Evening last night (we learned about pretend scary things versus real scary things, and how Jesus teaches us to "fear not" and pray to Him when something feels scary), and for our activity we carved a pumpkin (no picture yet, but it's a pirate).
Bailey wanted to be a "scary witch, not a cute witch," so last night I covered her head with braids so she'd have fuzzy, wiry hair tonight. She decided to wear them to school, so I tied them up in buns with these cute Halloween bands (go Children's Place!)
Then when Colby and I were getting ready to go the hospital (for a checkup for me) I asked him if I could do his hair, and he said yes, if I "do it like a rock star." I asked him how rock stars do their hair, and he showed me, using his hands, how to make a mohawk. He even made me use the blow dryer! I was just happy he was going to let me style it, so we gave him a mohawk. So I guess both of my kids had a unique hair day.

For Halloween we just went to our church building's Trunk or Treat and then to my Aunt Barbara's house--she's literally the "Queen of Halloween," and a community treasure when it comes to all things scary. I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked, being as immobile as I am, but here's what I do have. Yikes! I didn't realize until just now that I didn't get any pics of Colby on my regular camera, only our new video camera. So I'll make it my project tomorrow to figure out how to get pictures and video from that to the computer and finish up this post. And yes, I did dress up--this is a costume I made a few years ago, and I knew it would be perfect for my currently-expansive body. Jonathan said I looked like an overgrown Oompa Loompa. (For those of you who have asked if I'm showing yet, this should give you an idea of how enormous I am. I've been wearing maternity clothes since August, after all. And strangers keep saying things like, "Any day now, huh?")

PS
Your poll thing isn't working! I voted and when it showed the results it said noone has voted! So you might want to look into that. Also my friend put up a poll on what to name their son and her husband found out and wrote a letter to people to vote for the one he likes and over 80 people have voted now! It's funny I'll call you on where to go!
