While I was sitting there a young mother walked by pushing her baby in a car seat/stroller. I realized that the car seat she had was the one I've been seriously thinking of buying, and I wanted to ask her how she liked it, but she was just far enough away that I couldn't yell at her without being very rude. So I asked Jonathan to go ask her how she likes her car seat. I knew he'd feel very silly doing this, but I really wanted to know, and I knew I needed to stay put. He finally walked over to her, but then all these women were standing around visiting and looking at her baby, so he just stood there forever, trying to look like he was watching the kids from a distance. I sat there and watched him and giggled for over 5 minutes, and with my blogging buddies in mind, I thought "I've got to get a picture of this." The lighting's pretty bad, but this is my adorable husband, trying to get up the courage to ask a lady how she likes her car seat.
He finally just walked away, using the excuse that she was visiting with people, so then when we were getting ready to leave, I asked him to try again. By this time she was in a different spot, near a drinking fountain, so Jonathan walked past her and went to get a drink, then turned around and hesitated for just a second before giving up. He mouthed to me, "I can't do it." He's so cute when it comes to stuff like that--he just can't risk doing something that would threaten his manhood like inquiring about the benefits of a certain car seat! I started to laugh and walked over and asked her myself, since we were leaving anyway. When I told her that my husband had stood behind her all that time trying to get the courage to ask her, she and her friend laughed, too!
Oh, and by the way, she loves the car seat--it's a Baby Trend.
Here's a couple more pics from the carnival:
Jonathan followed the kids around with a grocery sack to hold all the candy and prizes they brought him--I just love him, because I know there's other things he'd probably rather be doing, especially with his crazy tight schedule, but he still does stuff like this. After this carnival he even took the kids to Bailey's elementary carnival, which was a madhouse!

That is a fantastic header picture.
It's not often someone gets a picture of you feeling totally awkward. I'm sure your husband really appreciated that one. :)
I'm glad you were able to get out with your family. Love you.
