Mufasa in the Stars

Last week a lady here in town gave us a whole box of VHS movies. My kids wanted to watch Lion King right away, because we don't have it, and I guess they hadn't seen it for a long time.
Colby fell asleep while they watched it that afternoon, so of course he was wide awake that night at bedtime. Jonathan hadn't come to bed yet, so I let Colby lie in bed with me and watch it again. I started to fall asleep near the very beginning, when Mufasa is telling Simba that the ancestors watch them from the stars. Then I heard Colby whisper, "Mom....MOM!"
"What?"
"Is that true?"
"Is what true?"
"Do the people who died really watch us from the stars?"
"I don't know, baby. Go to sleep."
It was quiet for a moment, and then I heard his soft voice again: "Gwampa Woe?"
I opened my eyes to see that he had climbed off the bed and was standing under our bedroom window looking up at the stars. "Gwampa Woe? Can you hear me?" (My Grandpa Roe died past November, and Colby really misses him.)
I was so touched! I said, "Colby, what are you doing?" He said, "I'm trying to talk to Grandpa Roe! Can he hear me?" So I told him that I thought Grandpa Roe probably could hear him, but that we wouldn't be able to hear him if he answered. After a second Colby climbed back up into bed and continued to watch the movie, but he still seemed thoughtful...until Scar and his Nazi hyenas ruined the moment.
