Remember Our Soldiers This Holiday Season!

Last night for Family Home Evening, since it was the day after Veteran's Day, we had a lesson on soldiers. First Jonathan taught the kids about the pre-existence and how we were all soldiers there, and then we talked about how there are still soldiers protecting us and fighting for freedom today.
For our activity we made Christmas cards for American soldiers serving overseas. I had looked online for the best way to go about this, and I found this website. They really need more help and more people getting involved, so I decided to post it on here. Pass it along to everyone you know, or post it on your own blog!

Also, the above website is associated with another, bigger one called "Soldier's Angels." (You'll notice links to it from the card website.) They have all kinds of charities and projects that they're running for/with the soldiers. Some are specifically geared to help the children and citizens of Iraq and Afghanistan. So if something like that is in your budget, take a minute to look at the sites!

Share the blessings you receive every day of the year with those who at times might be tempted to feel that they have been forgotten! Merry Christmas!
