On January 30th my Grandma Roe had her 86th birthday. She's been pretty lonely since my grandpa passed away over a year ago, so my mom wanted to do something special for her birthday. So my Aunt Deanna, who lives in Panguitch, where my grandma lives, brought her to Cedar City for a party at Pizza Factory. We were joined by Deanna's family, my Aunt Barbara and her family, my parents, Camille's family, Cliff (my brother), and my family.
We just had a big all-you-can-eat fest and then gave her a couple presents and had cupcakes. She seemed to have fun, although sometimes so much noise and excitement can be kind of stressful to her. The kids certainly had fun celebrating her birthday! And she enjoyed teasing them about how old she was. My niece asked her how old she was, and she said, "21," to which my niece replied, "I thought you were older than that!"
I love my grandma so much. She has a great sense of humor, she's a talented homemaker, and she loves all the grandkids. She also spent most of her life quietly serving her family, without asking for reward or attention. She's a great example to me, and I feel blessed for the opportunity I had to live with my grandparents for 2 summers in high school and get to know them each better as people, rather than just grandparents.

I love grandma! I can't believe she is 86. She is a trooper and going strong. Hopefully she stays strong long after we end up moving back there, if we end up going out west!
