Hello, is anyone else bawling their eyes out after this morning's session of conference? I don't remember crying that hard during conference, maybe ever! Every talk was so amazing! I felt the Spirit so strong and just felt so much love for the speakers and for the Savior and my Heavenly Father.
Just about a half hour before the session started, my bishop had called and asked me to speak in church next week. The topic he gave me is faith, with a focus on how it helps my testimony and helps me live the gospel, tying that in with Easter, of course. Hi, can I just pass out copies of President Uchtdorf's talk? That's what I was thinking while I was listening to him speak, but then as conference went on, I felt overwhelmed! Elder Holland, President Monson, and bits of pieces from each of the others all tied into my topic somehow. I guess I just need to study this session over again during the week and think of ways to apply the messages to my life and then adapt them into a talk.
Any suggestions for other good talks I could reference? As if I need more......
I just want to say how grateful I am to be a member of this church and have the marvelous blessing of being led by righteous church leaders who are truly called of God and represent the Savior on this earth. I've always felt such a safety in knowing that this church is led by men of God. No matter how difficult things may get in this world, I know that I have a prophet of God who leads and guides the people inasmuch as we'll obey him. I also know I have the gift of the Holy Ghost so that I can personally receive strength and guidance from my Savior and my Heavenly Father. I need to work much harder, in my own life, to be worthy of these blessings and to show my gratitude for them by sharing my testimony with those around me who aren't members of the church, or even who those are but haven't developed a testimony yet. I bear testimony that this church is true and that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know and love each one of us as individuals and that They desire to bless us constantly, to overflowing, and will if we're but worthy. Jesus Christ is our Savior and was willing to endure unfathomable pain and suffering for our sake--for my sake. I don't know if I've ever felt that expressed so beautifully as in Elder Jeffrey R. Holland's talk this morning, which literally left me weeping. Without the Savior and His Church in my life, I would be devoid of all my greatest blessings. I say these things in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Well our house has been a circus for the past 2 days so I am looking forward to rewatching conferences when all the kids are sleeping and I can actually pay attention. Good luck with your talk I am sure you will do awesome.
They were really good. Much better than spending time out on the OB floor.
We went to the morning session at the conference center this morning, and it was amazing. Something funny, though, was that one of the protestor's platform was that the Jesus we worship and the one in the Bible are not the same. How can you say that we don't worship the Jesus in the Bible after today?!
I do agree! Conference was amazing and perfect!
Good luck with your talk!
