It's a.........................

BOY!! I had an ultrasound yesterday to see if my condition has improved (apparently it hasn't--the lady in radiology wouldn't give any details but said it hadn't changed), and we were also able to find out that we'll be having our second little boy. Jonathan and Colby were there with me and were both very pleased about that. I didn't think beforehand that I cared either way, now that we have one of each, so I was surprised to find myself feeling a little disappointed. I would really like to have 2 boys and 2 girls, so I guess maybe I was just hoping to continue the girl-boy pattern?
When Bailey got home from school and learned the news, she was a little disappointed, too, but still laughing with excitement at the same time. She doesn't seem to mind at all, really.
And I got totally over it myself when, last night, out of nowhere, Colby turned to me from watching cartoons, clasped his hands together, and said, "Mommy, I'm so excited that we're having a boy!" It was so genuine and sweet that I couldn't help but feel his enthusiasm, and it made me love him even more than I already do, and now I'm excited to be having another boy....especially for Colby's sake.
We've already talked a little about names, but we'll probably keep our favorites a little private, just to keep from getting the whole world's opinions (no offense). However, Jonathan thinks he wants a one-syllable name this time, something good and masculine, so if you have any ideas or any good names you've heard recently, please toss them our way. We like names that aren't too common. Bailey was already "Bailey B" in kindergarten (and we thought her name was unique!), and we'd like to avoid having that happen again.
As far as my situation goes, I'm still on total bed rest, but hope to improve eventually. I have a doc appointment on Thursday, where I'll hear more about my ultrasound results and find out if I've gotten better at all. Please keep us in your prayers--I'm more worried about my family than me! Jonathan is going to lose his mind with all his responsibilities, and my kids are getting pretty bored, what with my not being able to take them anywhere or play with them at all.
Yay!!!! We're having a little boy!!!

I am so excited for you. I think I am hoping we follow our pattern as well (although secretly I am hoping we are having twins, but I highly doubt that). I always liked the name Samuel and then Sam for short. I hope things get a bit better for you and yours. lots of love.

Congratulations! I can think of plenty of names you shouldn't use, but I'll have to think for a while of names that you should.
You keep taking care of yourself and that baby.

Congrats!! You'll have to see all the clothes I got. I counted and it was only $36 worth, but still that is like 20+ things. I think they are all so cute and I'd put all of them on my own baby....
I can't wait to show you!!
Do you have a baby dresser or are you getting one?

I am so excited for you1 I love finding out and I agree...who wants the worlds opinions on a name that you like. I hate when people tell me "I don't like that" it is the worst!
