Starting the Countdown

So, I hesitate to post this already, because I'm only about a month along, and it just seems like I'm asking for trouble to announce it to the world on my blog. Does that sound superstitious?
But it's certainly not a secret--I've never been the type to wait until the second trimester or anything, and a lot of my family knows, as well as a few friends, so I figured I might as well tell.
For those who are wondering, I've been wanting another baby for a long time (Colby's a little boy now, and I need a baby!), but convincing Jonathan was another story. We finally decided that August would be good timing, because then I'd be due around the time he graduates next year. As fate would have it, we're looking at mid-terms. Sorry, honey! But we're both excited and looking forward to the new addition.
Bailey wants a girl and Colby a boy, of course, and Jonathan's leaning toward a boy. I don't really care either way, although I kind of just think this one's a girl.
And as for the picture....I took the test last week while my mom and I were here in Cedar getting ready to head to Panguitch to visit my grandparents. Jonathan was also in Cedar, but at a training meeting for his job. I wouldn't see him before we left, and I couldn't call him during the meeting, so I just taped this to the mirror and let him discover it later. I wasn't sure how he would react, but he was pleasantly surprised, thankfully.
So that's my big news of the week...maybe if I get brave, I'll have people help me out with baby names later!
