Mind Your Own Beeswax

So, I've contemplated this for months now, and I've finally decided to make my blog private. I really don't want to have to do it, because I've found so many friends by looking at other friends' links and finding common acquaintances, and if old friends find my blog and want to check it out, I want them to be able to do so. But this world can be a creepy, scary place, and the last thing I want is for some freaky person to be studying up on my family. I try to be careful what I say, but when you put it all together, you could really learn a lot about a family--their children, especially--by reading a blog.
I haven't had any bad experiences yet, but one of my friends has gotten random comments from some man about how cute her kids are, only to discover that his blog is a collection of photos of children--weird.
And although I set up my blog so that it's not listed on google searches, I discovered the other day that it can easily be googled, anyway, because it comes up anywhere it's named on someone else's blog as a friend link, if that makes sense. And since I'm the only Amber Brunjes in the US, it makes me pretty easy to find.
Annnnyyyywayyy, sorry for the novel, but I felt like I should explain (and warn). So for anyone who wants to be invited to view my blog, please email me at brunjesbiz and then yahoo (you know the details--it's a regular email address).
I hope I'm not sounding like a paranoid crazy woman; I just want to be safe, and these are some ways I've learned that help!
Thanks!

That's one reason why I asked (many moons ago) people to NOT put a link to my blog with my first and last name; and I changed my blog URL and I try to never use last names. Anyway, I totally understand your worry.

I totally understand, and if you don't want to go private- I have four blog trackers on my blog- one is visible and the rest are invisible. It gives you location and url- the whole nine yards!!

But totally add me to your invite list-

Hi Amber!
I know that this is a long time in coming but trying to find the time to sit down and do some correspondence is tough.

Steve and I have about 6 businesses none of them are enormous money makers but we keep hoping that one of them will really explode and we can sit and watch the cash flow in but until then we just keep working and try to have fun. I did forget to say that most of our businesses do involve fun so that helps a little bit.

I remember your family and it has been fun to explore your website and see how everyone has grown. Time does fly fast and it is hard to believe that I am a Grandma only once but I hope that changes in the not so distant future. Chad is the only one married, Jamie has a steady boyfriend and Christopher is not ready to be married (that is my opinion). That means I can only rely on one family to give me grandchildren for the time being.

Take care of your cute little family and say hi to your Mom and Dad for us.

Please be sure to invite me in. I don't blame you for making your decision, and I agree it has been fun finding people I haven't been able to find in a while. Good luck!
