Congratulations, Bailey!

Bailey had her kindergarten graduation on May 6, and the poor thing was sick with the stomach flu (or something like that). She missed school Tuesday through Friday, but I called her teacher, Mrs. Pugh, to find out what I should do, and she asked me to just bring her for the graduation, plus the practice run in the morning. I was glad, because at first Bailey was really sad to think she would miss the "program where I dance with Bernard," but by the time we actually went, she felt so awful that she was begging me to take her home. In fact, she puked all over the sidewalk in front of the school when I took her to the rehearsal. I tried to take her home after that, but she immediately felt better. By the evening she was pretty worn out, though, and she was running on codeine and no nap (not for lack of trying). Needless to say, I didn't get many smiles!
Bailey's had a great school year, though, and really loves both of her teachers, Mrs. Pugh and Mrs. Jenson and all her friends. She can read and write and do some math, and she's excited to see what 1st grade brings!

Congratulations Bailey! What a big day for her. Too bad she was sick and couldn't really enjoy it though. She's growing up so fast. Thanks for sharing it with us.
