Tubing at Woods Ranch

The day after Christmas our family, plus Doug and Carlaya, went up to Woods Ranch to go tubing. It started snowing on the way up there, so I was worried it would be too cold, and we'd be the only ones there, but I was only halfway wrong. It was too cold, but there were tons of people there!

This picture made me laugh. Apparently while we were loading the car, Colby got his hands on my camera, and this is Jonathan telling him to quit playing with it--that's just a guess!

This is how busy the hill was the whole time we were there. Jonathan and Bailey are on the left.

Doug's first run down.

Jonathan and Bailey coming down backwards!

Bailey and I--and that tube wasn't big enough for my hiney.....

Doug died.

Jonathan and Carlaya...she only went down a couple times, because her toes had gotten wet almost as soon as we got there, and she was too cold and miserable to want to play!

This is Jonathan with Colby. Colby thought it looked too scary until he saw Bailey and Carlaya each go and love it, so he finally took a turn and then said it was "so cool!"

The big surprise of the day was Bailey, who discovered early on that she was born to sled! It didn't matter whether she was going with someone else or alone, the minute she got to the bottom of the hill she turned around and headed back up, getting higher every time. I envied her energy, because while one trip to the very top (and I mean Very Top) about killed me, she practically ran up the hill every time, dragging a sled behind her! Then she'd turn around, jump on the tube (which took her a few tries to figure out), and head back down, squealing and laughing all the way. It was so cute to see this tiny little yellow and pink figure so far up the hill all by herself that even other groups of people were stopping to watch her and laugh. She loved it!
