Magical Morning in Panaca

All last week my family and I were in Panaca, staying with my parents, while Jonathan worked at Cathedral Gorge State Park for an internship. We were supposed to leave to come home Sunday night, but a huge snowstorm came in, and my parents didn't want us to leave. (So the next morning Jonathan and Bailey had to miss their first day back to school after Christmas break--oops!). Anyway, we woke up extra early to get back to Cedar, and this is what we found outside in Panaca! It was so beautiful and peaceful, especially from my parents' second-floor balcony!

This is the view straight off my parents' balcony. The house in the picture is my old Young Women president's--the Hansen Family.

This is the Panaca Spring. It's a natural spring from underground and is warm year-round, so whenever it's really cold or snowy, steam comes off it, and it's so beautiful!

One of my favorite views of Panaca, from the Spring. It always reminds me of my friend Anna, because her family used to live in a house that backed up to this land, and her backyard had the most gorgeous view, and she was always such a good friend to me. I loved going to her house.

Although this isn't my favorite of the pictures I took here, for anyone from Panaca this is probably the iconic Spring view, with that tree right on the bank and the scraggy old rope hanging from it. I love my sweet little hometown!

Doesn't it make you just want to jump in?!
