Jobless

Today I resigned from my job, and I have mixed feelings about it. Colby was just sick last week, like I mentioned a few blogs ago, and I missed 2 days of work because of it. Twice before that I had to miss work because of my own health problems, including Thursday and Friday of the very first week! So this morning when Colby came down with a fever at the day care and I had to take him home, I had had enough, and I'm sure my boss had, too. It's such a pain, because we have to find someone to cover for me, and we're understaffed as it is, and it's embarrassing for me, and Colby gets tired and grumpy, and my boss gets stressed out. So today before I went home I told her I'm basically done. So they're going to use me as a substitute, but that's all. It's not fair to anyone involved for my health or Colby's to be so unpredictable that we've already missed 8 days of work in only 5 weeks!
Jonathan's pretty stressed out and worried that he'll have to get a second job, but strangely enough I'm not too stressed yet. I'm usually the major worrier in the family, but I just know that I did what I had to do, so there's not much to stress about in that regard. I wish I could find some kind of job where I could work from home, but so does every other homemaker in America, so what are the chances? I'm still a Heritage Makers Consultant and love doing that, but it's so time-demanding when you really get into it, and I can't devote that kind of time right now. I have to be able to keep my focus on my family. That's the most important thing! I'm just going to have to be super thrifty for awhile and make things work! Hey, at least I'll have more time for housework now, which is something I really need. Whether I'll use that time to DO housework? Well...............

OK, get on top of your house!! You need to downsize lil' knick-knacks and crap. Get rid of extra clothes or toys they don't need or use. THEN start ORGANIZING!! If your house is organized it is not hard at all to keep clean. You can teach your kids to clean but if they don't see you do it- they won't keep it up. NOah already puts his dishes in the sink and if he spills his dry cereal or fish he picks them all up without being asked or gets the hand broom and pan!! He is 20 mon. old and does this all on his own!! I haven't even really tried to teach him yet, but he sees me cleaning and Carlaya is a big example too. You just have to set a new example in your home. Or neither kid will ever want to or appreciate cleaning. ......the end :)
