A month has passed by since my last post, and it seems like every second of that time has flown by as we've made plans, cleaned, packed, and traveled.
After pulling our kids out of school 3 weeks early, we left Laughlin last Tuesday for my brother Doug's house in Cedar City, Utah, then headed to Richfield on Wednesday to relax in a hotel, then Manti for my sister-in-law's temple endowment, then back to the hotel, then my brother Cliff's wedding in the Manti LDS Temple on Friday morning, followed by their Richfield reception Friday night. After family photos, we left the reception early and made the 5-hour drive to Las Vegas that night to sleep at my sister's before heading to the airport Saturday morning.
We spent my birthday (Saturday) flying to Wilmington, NC, where Jonathan's family all lives. We spent our anniversary (Sunday) trying to relax and adjust to the time change, honored our veteran ancestors on Monday, and drove to Durham (where Duke is located) on Tuesday night.
